Parkley farm is home to a farmhouse and five stunning cottages currently used as holiday rentals.
With six properties to manage, the energy requirements of Parkley Farm are significant and their energy bills was growing out of control when they contacted us in 2014.
We had the idea of installing a 200 panel Solar PV system (50kW) in a field near the cottages, directly connected to the supply meter to reduce their reliance on grid electricity.
This project was a chance for us to flex our creative muscles as we were unable to use our normal installation methods due to a dig depth of just 500mm. Instead, we used concrete plinths to get the job done, and Parkley farm were delighted with the final outcome.
