Renewable energy matters are one of just four companies on the Scottish Water Solar PV framework. We help assess Scottish Water sites to determine their suitability for solar installation, helping them to meet their sustainability goals whilst reducing costs and limiting their carbon emissions.
We use our expertise and experience to design bespoke systems best suiting the needs of Scottish water, utilising the space they have available in the most cost-effective way to generate as much solar energy as possible for use on site.
As with all our clients, we go through a multi-stage process with Scottish Water on each installation site guiding them from planning and grid connection all the way to final installation and ongoing maintenance.
John Sammon, Business Development Team Leader, said: “The team at Absolute consistently understand our needs as the customer. Their technical approach inspires confidence and often offers elements of innovation that add value to a project. Early in the feasibility stage the half-hourly data is analysed in detail and compared against the available space at the asset. This gives us a very quick steer as to the suitability of the asset without significant time or capital expenditure, whilst ensuring optimal system design in terms of maximising our self-consumption of the generation and minimising export. This approach has strengthened the viability of our PV programme from both a commercial and reputational perspective.”
